The Pink Boat - Rowing For A Cure
Spawned by a collection of friends in the flyfishing industry,
Rowing for a Cure is an innovative campaign to generate awareness and funding for the fight to find a cure for breast cancer. Mission:The sponsors, including RO Drift Boats, Patagonia River Guides and Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, have been working hard to get this innovative campaign off the ground and initiate the journey of the pink boat. Whitney McDowell, an avid angler in Bozeman whose mother is also a two-time breast cancer survivor, is assisting the cause by helping promote and coordinate the pink boat on its journey around the US West. The sole beneficiary of all donations for 2010 is the Montana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. There is a lot of heart and soul behind the campaign, with the hope that thousands of anglers will see the boat and contribute to the cause to find a cure for breast cancer. We already have many guides and friends that want to take the boat out on their river and help with the cause. If you are interested in guiding out of the boat or having the boat at your event, please contact Ian Davis at Yellow Dog – ian@yellowdogflyfishing.com.
